Basketball All Week For Fans

The Wright State men’s basketball team will play three games while the women will have two games this week, one at home and one on the road.

 

Men’s Basketball:  The WSU men’s basketball team will host Manchester University Monday night at 7 pm before hitting the road again to play Houston Baptist Friday night at 5 pm in Mobile, Alabama, and host South Alabama Saturday at 2 pm.

WSU is currently 1-2 overall and has been led in scoring by sophomore JT Yoho, who had 13 points at DePaul and has scored in double figures in each game. 

All games can be heard live with Chris Collins on 106.5 FM or through big106.5.com and their app on iHeartRadio.  Check out the linked flyer for special concession specials Monday night.  For tickets, click here.

Also, Raider fans can help WSU Student-Athletes help local charities at the November 18, 27 and 30 games.  Below is more information on that.

1.       Toys for tots

a.       Unwrapped toys and money

 

2.       Shoes for Shoeless

a.       Winter hats, yarn, sock, and money

 

3.       Blue Stars Mothers

a.       Slim Jim's, Beef Jerky, canned fruit, trail mix/nuts, Tic Tacs, gum,  tuna with crackers, Chapstick, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, toothbrush (individuals), toothpaste, pocket sized tissues, hand warmers, and disposable razors.

 

Women’s Basketball:  With an impressive 90-80 win over Akron on Sunday, Wright State women’s basketball now has a record of 3-1 as they travel to Murray State Thursday at 8 pm and host Marian in the first game of the Gulf Coast Showcase Sunday at 2 pm.

Preseason Horizon League Player of the Year Kim Demmings continues to lead the team with a 22.5 points per game average with Ivory James at 20.3 points per game.  James also leads in rebounding at 8.0 per game.  James and Tay’ler Mingo each had 18 points against Akron.

Murray State is currently 2-1 with wins over Robert Morris-Springfield and Evansville.
