The Wright State men's soccer team battled top-seed and host UIC to a scoreless draw through regulation, only to see the Flames tally the golden goal early in overtime for a 1-0 decision Saturday in the Horizon League semifinals.

The decisive score came at the 92:36 mark in the first overtime as Jacob Stovall was called for a yellow card inside the box, resulting in a penalty kick by UIC's Slobodan Aleksov.  Raider goalkeeper Tyler Blackmer came up with the stop on the penalty kick, diving to his left, but could not come up with the ball, which deflected back to Aleksov, who connected on a shot for the golden goal.

UIC outshot WSU 23-10, but the Raider defense held the Flames scoreless until the end, led by Blackmer's six saves.  The Flames led 8-4 in corners.

Wright State ends the season at 6-11-2.
