Athletics Introduces New Military Appreciation Program
Release: Monday 09/24/2013
by WSU Athletic Media Relations

This season, Wright State athletics is introducing a new season ticket and outreach program called the Military Appreciation Program (M.A.P.).  This program is designed to allow local businesses and fans to purchase discounted Wright State men’s basketball season tickets that will then be donated to local military personnel and their families, including Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

These special season ticket donations are only $100 each.

M.A.P. is designed to make it easy to give back to the military personnel who give to us and our country every day. All donors have to do is purchase the tickets and we will take care of delivering them to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and other local military installments.

Our goal is to raise 100-150 season tickets for use by the men and women serving and their families.

If you are interested in sharing Wright State basketball with the military, it is as easy as logging into your WSU Account, select the Military Appreciation Program event, and the number of season tickets you would like to donate.  There are no specific seats selected when you purchase the tickets in order to allow us to place all M.A.P. seats in a block.

If you know of any companies or non-season ticket holders who would be interested in participating in this program, please have them call Wright State Athletics Ticket Sales and Service at (937) 775-4934 or email

The Raiders have been picked first by many preseason publications, coming off a 23-13 record last year and returning much of that successful team.  WSU opens exhibition play on November 1 against Findlay and the regular season on November 10.  For schedules and other information, go to
