Two Compete at Junior Olympic National Championships

Wright State track athletes Natassia Roberts and Sarah-Ann Blount competed this past week at the Junior Olympic National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Blount (Dayton, OH/Thurgood Marshall), who will be a junior for the Raiders in 2013-14, twice earned USA Track and Field All-American status as she finished seventh in the long jump at 5.50 and eighth in the 100 meter hurdles at 14.59.  She won her prelim in the 100 meter hurdles (14.50) and was seventh in the semifinals (14.25) while placing 19th in the triple jump at 11.37 and 34th in the javelin (24.33).

Roberts (Xenia, OH/Xenia), who will be a sophomore this upcoming season, placed 14th in the discus at 38.30.  She also finished 15th in the hammer throw with a toss of 36.02, 15th in the shot put at 11.76 and 27th in the javelin (28.27).
