Lloyd To Compete in World University Games

Cassandra Lloyd, a two-time All-American and current assistant track coach at Wright State University, has been chosen as an alternate for the World University Games to compete in the 100 meter hurdles.  The games will be held in Kazan, Russia, July 6-17.

"It is always an honor to be asked to represent your country moreover in such a prestigious competition like World University Games where all the best collegiate athletes in the world will be represented in an Olympic Games type atmosphere,” said WSU head coach Fabien Corbillon.  “This selection is a testament to all the work Cassandra has put in these past five years."

Lloyd, a native of Springfield, Ohio, was an All-American in 2011 and an Honorable Mention All- American in 2012.  She set the school record for the 100 meter hurdles at 13.17 in 2012.
