The track team will compete this weekend in the Horizon League Championships in Ypsilanti, Michigan, while baseball hosts Urbana Wednesday at 6:30 and travels to Youngstown State for three games over the weekend. Softball heads into the final week of the regular season by hosting Miami Tuesday at 4 pm for two games before hitting the road for five games.

Kacia Grant has led the Raiders in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash events this year as well as teaming to set best times in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Brittany Bailey (800 and 1500 meter runs) and Joanie Ma (5000 and 10000 meter runs) have helped pace the team in the longer events while Kylie Kopp has set best times in the heptathlon events, including a school-record high jump at 1.58m. Natassia Roberts leads the way in the shot put, and the discus throw.
Last year, WSU placed fourth overall.
Baseball: With a record 18-21, 6-9, the baseball team will take on Urbana Wednesday before playing a three-game set Friday at 11 am, Saturday at 1 pm and Sunday at 1 pm at Youngstown State.
WSU has been paced by paced by four hitters above .330 in Kieston Greene (.347), Garrett Gray (.336), Kody Krizman (.333) and Mark Fowler (.331). Gray leads the team with 24 RBI while Michael Timm sits with 23 now. Greene and Gray each have four homeruns.
YSU holds a record of 13-31, 7-8. All three games of the series will be shown live on the Horizon League Network.
Softball: Coming off an impressive three-game sweep of Detroit over the weekend, the softball team will host Miami Tuesday at 4 and 6 pm before going to Ohio State for a pair starting at 5:00. The Raiders then head to the Windy City for a series at Horizon League co-leader Loyola, starting with a doubleheader Saturday at 1 pm Eastern and a single game Sunday, again at 1 pm.
With a record of 14-31, 9-9, the Raiders have been led by Kaitlyn Kite at .426 with 47 at bats in 23 games while Alex Machen is hitting .291. Kortney Tackett leads the team with 16 RBI. Krystian DeWitt holds an ERA of 2.24.
Miami’s record is currently 18-27, 11-7 in the MAC while Loyola sits at 26-16, 14-4.
Tuesday’s first game vs. Miami will be shown live on the Horizon League Network as will both games from Loyola on Saturday.
