Baseball Drops Series Finale at Valparaiso
Release: Wednesday 04/28/2013
by WSU Athletic Media Relations

The Wright State baseball team trailed just 1-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth, only to see Valparaiso score twice in that inning and once more in the seventh for a 4-0 decision in the series finale Sunday at Emory G. Bauer Field.

The Crusaders scored a run in the first and it stayed 1-0 going into the bottom of the sixth despite the Raiders leaving two on in the second and third.  Valpo then added two in the sixth and one in the seventh to round out the scoring.

WSU starter Robby Sexton was the tough-luck losing pitcher despite allowing just one run in five innings with five strikeouts.  Offensively, Garrett Gray led the way with three hits while Jeff Limbaugh had two.

Wright State (18-21, 6-9 Horizon) hosts Urbana on Wednesday, May 1, at 6:30.
