Men's Tennis Wins Pair of Matches

The Wright State men's tennis team picked up a pair of victories over the weekend at the South Regency Tennis Center in Springboro, defeating Saint Louis 5-2 on Friday and Morehead State 6-1 on Saturday.

Against the Billikens, the Raiders swept their way to the doubles point as the duos of Jamison Clark/Hayden Joblin (8-5), Michal Lyzwa/Lauri Makikalli (8-2) and Myles Harris/Evan Neuman were all victorious.  WSU then took four singles matches as Makikalli won in #1 singles (6-0, 6-1), Joblin in #2 singles (6-3, 6-4), Lyzwa in #3 singles (6-2, 6-3) and Dan Hyman in #5 singles (6-3, 6-0).

In the Morehead State contest, Wright State again swept their way to the doubles point as the duos of Lyzwa/Makikalli (8-2), Clark/Joblin (8-5) and Harris/Neuman (6-3 ret.) all won.  The Raiders then claimed five of the six singles matches, with Makikalli, Joblin, Lyzwa and Clark all winning in straight sets.

Wright State (8-6) returns to action on Sunday, March 17, with a 10:00 match at IUPUI.
