The Wright State men's tennis team won two of three matches over the weekend, falling 6-1 at Eastern Kentucky before bouncing back with a 7-0 win over Chicago State and a 6-1 decision over IPFW. WSU has now won 28 straight at home.
At Eastern Kentucky on Friday, WSU picked up two wins as Hayden Joblin was victorious in #2 singles, winning 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 and the #2 doubles team of Michal Lyzwa and Lauri Makikalli won 8-4.
The Raiders then swept all nine contests in defeating Chicago State on Saturday at the South Regency Tennis Center and won seven of nine to win over IPFW on Sunday, again at the South Regency Tennis Center.
For the weekend, Joblin earned two singles wins as did Ricardo Pineda, Lyzwa and Jamison Clark. Lyzwa picked up three wins overall, including doubles.
Wright State (5-3) hits the road for two matches next weekend, taking on Louisville on Friday, February 15, at 1:00 followed by Purdue on Saturday, February 16, at 11:00.
