The Wright State women's basketball team was held to just two field goals in the first half as Green Bay remained undefeated in the Horizon League with a 70-48 decision Monday night at WSU's Nutter Center.

The Phoenix scored the first six points of the contest before KC Elkins hit two free throws at the 17:26 mark to get the Raiders on the scoreboard.  The margin grew to 37-9 before Wright State connected on its first field goal of the game, a three from the right corner by Ivory James with 5:34 remaining.

WSU managed just one more field goal the remainder of the period, a Kim Demmings jumper with 4:34 left, as Green Bay went into halftime up 49-14.

Wright State hit two of 26 shots in the opening 20 minutes while the Phoenix shot 54 percent, including five of 10 from behind the arc.

The Raiders cut the deficit to 57-34 on an Elkins layup with 10:28 to play, but could get no closer until Brianna Innocent converted a three-point play with 1:16 left for the final margin.

Wright State, who outscored Green Bay 34-21 in the second half, shot 46 percent the final 20 minutes to finish at 27 percent overall and went 17 of 23 at the foul line for 74 percent.  The Phoenix, meanwhile, shot just 30 percent in the second half to end up at 46 percent for the game and was 15 of 18 at the line.

James, who was named the Horizon League Newcomer of the Week earlier in the day, led the Raiders with 14 points off the bench while Elkins had nine and Breanna Stucke eight.

Ranger paced Green Bay (16-2, 6-0 Horizon), which came into the day ranked second nationally behind Connecticut (46.7) in scoring defense (47.2), with 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench while Adrian Ritchie and Stephanie Sension each had 13 and Lydia Bauer 11 to go with eight boards.

Wright State (9-10, 3-3 Horizon) continues the four-game homestand on Thursday, January 31, against Valparaiso at 7:00.
