Men's Tennis Competes in Day One of USTA/ITA Regionals

The Wright State men's tennis team competed in day one of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regionals Friday in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Raiders recorded three doubles wins on the day as the duos of Michal Lyzwa/Lauri Makikalli and Jamison Clark/Hayden Joblin each advanced to the third round before falling.  Lyzwa/Makikalli defeated Xavier and Tennessee Tech while Clark/Joblin, who had a first-round bye, won over Butler.

Adam Taylor (Murray State) def. Ricardo Pineda 6-2, 6-1

Michal Lyzwa/Lauri Makikalli def. Syrym Abdukhalikov/Alejandro Augusto (Tennessee Tech) 9-7

Jamison Clark/Hayden Joblin def. Billy Weldon/Austin Woldmoe (Butler) 9-7


Third Round

Isade Juneau/Dimitrije Tasic (Indiana) def. Michal Lyzwa/Lauri Makikalli 8-6

Ruygi Hirooka/Beck Pennington (Kentucky) def. Jamison Clark/Hayden Joblin 8-5
