Women Battle to Scoreless Tie at Loyola

The Wright State women's soccer team battled Loyola to a scoreless tie Saturday night in Chicago.

The Raiders had their chances, outshooting the Ramblers 25-11 for the match, including 9-2 in the first half and 7-2 in the overtime periods, but could not come up with a score as Loyola goalkeeper Monica Gonyo had 11 saves.

WSU goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy recorded her fifth complete shutout of the season and the team's seventh overall as she posted seven saves.

Wright State (6-2-5, 1-0-2 Horizon) returns to Alumni Field for its final two home games of the regular season this week, taking on Detroit on Wednesday, October 10, at 7:00, followed by Valparaiso on Sunday, October 14, at 1:00.
