Junior goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy of the Wright State women's soccer team has been selected as part of this week's CS360 (CollegeSoccer360.com) Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll.
McCurdy (Peterborough, ONT) was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday as the Raiders opened Horizon League play with a 1-0 double overtime win at preseason favorite Milwaukee on Saturday. McCurdy recorded nine saves and posted the team's fifth shutout of the season as WSU won in Milwaukee for the first time since October 1, 1989.
For the season, McCurdy has allowed eight goals in 1037 minutes for a 0.69 goals against average and has collected 57 saves. She played 81 minutes with three saves Monday night as WSU notched its sixth shutout of the year with a 5-0 win over IPFW at Alumni Field.
Of the 13 players selected this week by CS360, six are Canadian, including McCurdy.
Wright State (6-2-3) hosts Green Bay in Horizon League action on Friday, September 28, at 5:00.
