The Wright State men's soccer program will be holding a free youth clinic on Sunday, September 9, from 5:00-6:30 pm at WSU's Alumni Field.
The clinic, which is for boys and girls of all experience and skill levels ages 5-13, allows participants the opportunity to work with Wright State players and coaches in improving technical and tactical skills. Participants will be able to put these skills to use in small sided soccer games.
"The youth clinics have been an opportunity for our student-athletes to interact with the kids from the community and celebrate the sport of soccer," said head coach Bryan Davis. "We always look forward to these events and know how important it is to grow fans of Wright State."It speaks volumes about the growth of our soccer program that we have filled the last four camps with over 200 kids and have constantly started a waiting list," said associate head coach David Korn. "The effort of our student-athletes at these camps and clinics as well as their success on the field and in the classroom have been key to helping spark this growth."
Participants will receive a free ticket to an upcoming Wright State men's soccer game. The clinic also features giveaways and a post-clinic autograph session. This clinic has filled in the past, and with interest levels high, be sure to register soon!
Space for the clinic is limited, so to participate, please e-mail your child's name and age to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you have received an e-mail confirming your registration, participants will be asked to bring athletic clothing, cleats or athletic shoes, shin guards, water bottle, soccer ball and a completed liability form which will be sent along with the confirmation.
