New Wright State head volleyball coach Susan Clements has announced that Katie Glassmeyer, a 5-4 libero, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Raiders this fall.
Glassmeyer (Edgewood, KY/Notre Dame Academy) was a member of the 2011 Panda squad that posted a 32-6 record and won the District 35 and Region 9 titles in advancing to the state sweet 16. Notre Dame then defeated Somerset Southwestern and Newport Central Catholic before falling to eventual state champion Louisville Assumption in the semifinals.
During her four-year career, Notre Dame posted an overall record of 112-30 and advanced to the state sweet 16 tournament in 2008 and 2009 along with last season.
Glassmeyer, who plans on studying Biological Sciences while at Wright State, has been a member of the nationally competitive club program NKYVC as the starting Libero and team captain.
