Baseball Receives Poll Votes

The Wright State baseball team, 20-10 overall, received votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 30 Poll.

The Raiders defeated Cincinnati this evening in the first round of the Joe Nuxhall Classic in Oxford, Ohio to run its winning streak to 11 straight. WSU will take on host Miami at 6:30 tomorrow night before coming home to host Milwaukee this weekend.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players
of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors the Pro-Line Athletic Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
