by WSU Athletic Media Relations

The pitching staff allowed just one earned run on the day, but #6 North Carolina held the Raider offense in check for a 3-0 win in the series finale Sunday in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The Tar Heels (5-1) tallied two unearned runs in the third and added another run in the fifth to round out the scoring.

WSU had opportunities to score as the Raiders outhit UNC for the game (8-7), but left the bases loaded in the third and stranded two in the ninth.

Corey Davis and Zach Tanner each had two hits for Wright State (1-5), who visits another ACC school next weekend as the Raiders play Virginia and Seton Hall twice each in Charlottesville, Virginia.
