LEWISBURG, Ohio – The Wright State women’s basketball team and some of their players helped serve some home-cooked meals to the community of Lewisburg. Several WSU players and the coaching staff helped out with the “Neighbor Night Supper” at the Trinity Lutheran Church and served up over 150 meals to local residents.

The Trinity Lutheran Church has served this meal every Wednesday evening since a power outage last year effected the community for days and the church opened its doors to helps the community. The WSU players and staff serve lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and dessert, made sweet tea and served drinks. Then after enjoying a meal themselves, wiped down tables and helped out in the kitchen by cleaning the dishes.

The Green and Gold will open the 2009-10 regular season on the road at IPFW on November 14 and will open their home slate versus Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, November 19.
