The Wright State baseball team trailed just 2-1 to Kentucky after five innings, only to see the Wildcats add insurance runs in the sixth and seventh en route to a 4-1 decision at Cliff Hagan Stadium Tuesday night.
UK opened the scoring with two runs in the first, only to see WSU answer with a run in the fourth as Kieston Greene singled up the middle, stole second and came in to score on a RBI hit by Michael Timm to right center.
The Raiders, however, would get no closer as Kentucky tallied single runs in the sixth and seventh to round out the scoring.
Greene had two hits to pace the WSU attack.
Wright State (20-24) makes the long trip to Springfield, Missouri, this weekend for a three-game series against Missouri State. The Raiders and Bears will play single games on Friday (2 pm Eastern), Saturday (1 pm) and Sunday (6 pm).
