Men's Tennis Defeats UIC in HL Opening Round

Wright State won 4-0 over UIC in the opening round of the Horizon League Men's Tennis Championships Friday in Indianapolis.

The Raiders started the match by winning the doubles point as the duo of Jamison Clark and Hayden Joblin in #1 doubles was victorious 8-2 as was Michal Lyzwa and Lauri Makikalli in #2 doubles at 8-6.

Joblin and Clark then each picked up a win in singles as Joblin won 7-6, 6-4 in #1 singles and Clark 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 in #5 singles.  Dan Hyman also won 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 in #6 singles to clinch the match for WSU.

Wright State (13-12) takes on #1 seed Green Bay in the semifinals Saturday at 10 am.
