The Wright State men's basketball team had four score in double figures Friday night as the Raiders won at Idaho in their season opener 80-70.

WSU trailed 8-2 early before going on an 8-0 run, four coming from Cole Darling, to take its first lead of the night at 10-8.  A Matt Vest layup put the Raiders ahead for good at 12-10 and a Reggie Arceneaux three along with two triples by Darling keyed an 11-2 burst to extend the margin into double figures at 23-13.

Idaho closed to within five late in the half before Wright State scored the final six points, four from JT Yoho, to go up 40-29 at the break.

The Vandals shot 48 percent in the opening 20 minutes compared to 44 percent for the Raiders, but WSU also hit five threes to just one for Idaho and led 10-3 in points off of turnovers as they forced 10 while committing only three.

Wright State maintained at least a seven-point advantage the rest of the way, with its biggest lead being 75-59 on a Kendall Griffin layup with 2:24 remaining.

The Raiders continued their strong shooting in the second half, hitting for 48 percent to finish at 46 percent overall.  WSU also had a great night at the foul line, making 17 of 19 attempts.  Idaho, meanwhile, shot 54 percent for the game, but was just 19 of 29 at the stripe.

Four Wright State players scored in double figures, led by Darling's 18, 12 of those coming in the first half, while Yoho, in his Raider debut, had 17 off the bench, 11 before halftime.  Arceneaux had 10 as did AJ Pacher, all coming in the second half, along with seven rebounds.

Kyle Barone paced Idaho with 18 points and nine rebounds while Mansa Habeeb had 14 off the bench and Stephen Madison 11.

Wright State hits the road again on Tuesday as the Raiders visit Eastern Illinois for an 8:00 Eastern contest.
