Lloyd Qualifies for NCAA National Meet

For the second straight year, senior track athlete Cassandra Lloyd has qualified for the NCAA national meet as she finished ninth in the quarterfinal round of the 100 meter hurdles Saturday at the NCAA East Regional meet in Jacksonville, Florida.

Lloyd, who placed third in her heat behind Bridgette Owens of Clemson and Jasmin Stowers of LSU, set a new personal best and school record in the process with a time of 13.17.

Lloyd now advances to the national semifinals, which will take place at 8:10 pm Eastern on Thursday, June 7, at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
