Baseball Drops Series Finale at #12 UCLA

#12 UCLA scored seven times in the first three innings and went on to a 10-2 decision over the Wright State baseball team in the series finale Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

The Bruins scored twice in the first and five more in the third in building a 7-0 lead.  The Raiders answered with a run in the fourth as Sam Picchiotti singled, went to second and third on wild pitches and scored on an error, only to see UCLA add a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

WSU rounded out the scoring with a run in the ninth.  Walks to Jeff Limbaugh, John Brodner and Kieston Greene loaded the bases and Limbaugh came in on a wild pitch.

Picchiotti finished with two hits and a run scored.

Wright State (3-6) is scheduled to host Otterbein on Wednesday, March 6, at 5:00 followed Bryant on Friday, March 8, at 4:00 and Bradley in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 9, at noon.  Check with wsuraiders.com for schedule updates.
