The
Wright State golf program has received a national letter of intent from Josh Cushing during the fall signing period, announced head coach Pete Samborsky.
Cushing (Chillicothe, OH/Unioto) helped lead the Shermans to a sixth-place finish at the Division II state golf tournament this past fall by placing 15th with a two-round score of 171 (85-86). A three-time All-Scioto Valley Conference honoree, Cushing was also named All-Southeast District as a senior.
Unioto finished with an overall record of 121-7 in 2011 in winning conference, sectional and district titles.
Cushing joins Conner Lash (Centerville, OH/Centerville) as WSU signees for the 2012-13 season.
Wright State begins the spring portion of its schedule at the
C&F Bank Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Virginia, March 26-27.
