Shakeila Castile-Jones joined the Wright State volleyball coaching staff in July, 2011, after five years on the staff of her alma mater, Chicago State.

In 2010, Castile-Jones was the associate head coach for the Cougars after serving the previous four seasons as an assistant coach.  She was the interim head coach for the final 16 matches during the 2006 season and, in 2007, Chicago State captured its first-ever Division I postseason victory with a four-set decision over NJIT at the Independent Tournament.

In 2009, Castile-Jones helped guide then-sophomore Marvita Maziveyi to finish among the Great West Conference leaders in service aces.

Castile-Jones currently holds school records for career blocks (227) and single-season solo blocks (38). In addition to competing in volleyball for the Cougars, she also participated in track and was a four-time Academic All-Mid-Continent Conference honoree in both sports.  Castile-Jones also served as a manager for three years on the CSU men's basketball team.

Castile-Jones competed on the Extreme Volleyball Professionals (EVP) in the summer of 2009 that included stops at Chicago's North Avenue Beach. In addition, she played professional volleyball overseas in Indonesia for Jakarta Popsivo Pawan in the spring of 2008.

A native of Chicago, Castile-Jones graduated from Chicago State in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in communications, media arts and theater with a minor in radio and television broadcasting.
