David McKinley joined the Raider basketball staff in the summer of 2016 as the administrative assistant after spending two years as a graduate assistant with the Ohio University basketball program.

With the Raiders, he will assist with the day-to-day activities of the basketball operations, including video preparation, travel, scouting, student managers and camps.

McKinley, a two-year Ohio University team captain, played in 50 games for the Bobcats from 2009-13, helping Ohio earn two Mid-American Conference tournament titles and a regular season co-championship. The 'Cats reached the postseason four times in McKinley's four seasons, advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Championship in 2010 and the Regional Semifinals in '12 in addition to a National Invitation Tournament berth in '13 and a College Insider Tournament appearance in '11.

McKinley, who graduated from Ohio in 2013 with a degree in Marketing, spent time as an intern in digital marketing with the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets. He also served as an assistant coach with the Hidden Gems AAU program in Columbus.

A native of Dublin, Ohio, McKinley and his wife, Kelsey, reside in the Dayton area.
